I am currently a Gold Velocity member and I may soon be travelling and spending significant time in the UK.
This would mean more international flights and probably on Etihad.
I was wondering if anyone has had any experience wit requesting a status match on Etihad?
Hopefully Virgin will introduce the platimun level soon and I would hope to status match with a similar level on Etihad. (Yes like everyone I am looking for a hand up to change over.... )
I also have an F class trip booked on Etihad in Oct so being able to accrue points and further status as an Etihad guest might be good.
I could just continue to get Velocity points on the Etihad flights but I am particularly interested in bign able to redeem easily for international flights or upgrades when travelling back and forth on Etihad.
