At the risk of sounding like I've been struck down with a case of general softness - does anyone else experience dizziness in the aerobridge?

I'm pretty fine with take off and landings, and may feel a slight bit of nausea during turbulence but I will *always* feel dizzy in an aerobridge. It seems to be related to the angle of the aerobridge and the tunnel-style enclosure as the other time I can recall feeling this way was at Parliament Station in Melbourne (there's large escalators with a similar thing as you head up/down).

I've gotta figure someone else in this community is affected by similar and has a better idea of what causes it?

maybe also because the air bridge sways and/or flexes a little? that can sometimes be off putting, especially if no windows so you have no reference point.

I've been to Parliament Station once, the escalators made me a bit giddy.

No problems with aerobridges though :D

No problem on the bridge itself, but sometimes have just a moment on the aircraft when seeing it retract from the corner of my eye.

Only feel a little dizzy in the aerobridge if I've had a little too much to drink.

Parliament Station escalators - yes, I just have to stare directly ahead without looking up.

Used to freak me out - that tiny gap between the plane and the bridge looked like it was 5m wide. After flying so much this year I don't notice it though. I'm deathly afraid of heights, but live take off, landing, window seats and flying in general.

See, that's the weird thing. I'm not afraid at all of the gap between the plane and the aerobridge... I just feel dizzy as soon as I get into the aerobridge.

It must be a visual thing that's causing it >.<

Well without trying to be a physician, can you problem solve it a bit? In airports with glass aerobridges... ADL, CBR... where you can have an external point of reference and not feel claustrophobic do you exhibit the same symptoms?

Wow! I just thought it was the Chardonnay ! But I must say yes the movement is a little unsettling !

I don't quite feel dizzy in an aerobridge but I hate waiting in them for some reason. Claustrophobia?

Sympathetic gate crew are good to have around but some of them want you in there even when the queue is all the way back. I usually wait until a few people left in queue and I head down to aircraft.

My problem's when I look forward and move. If I stand still and just look downwards it's usually not too bad >.<
