United 839 is currently stranded on a taxiway following blown tyre/s on landing from SYD. Follows hot on the heels of last Mondays aerobridge collision. When you are on a roll......

Yep. And the ONE plane stuck behind it is of course mine (VA) - been there for 40 mins. ImageUploadedByAustFreqFly1366935527.699053.jpg

Tire blown should be a quick fix. Assuming there are maintenance agreements in place.

How long eventually was the delay?
The aircraft was initially moved a little after nearly one hour to allow the Virgin aircraft stuck behind it to get to the terminal. About another hour later it was finally removed from the taxiway. Some minor undercarriage damage occurred also, so not sure that it will be a simple change the wheel and on your way scenario.
