Jetstar's StarClass Sale!

Sale on now until midnight (23:59 AEDT) Thursday 21 January 2009, unless sold out prior. Sale may be extended.

MEL-BKK $529
MEL/SYD-DPS $499
SYD/HNL $679

etc etc etc, check it all out on the website...

Sale fares

SYD-HNL return @ under $1400AUD would have to be pretty good SC earning, right? $4.85 per SC? Not the best status run out there, but seems decent to me?

Great way to start a status run in the US though. :)

Cheers,
- Febs.

These in theory should disappear very quickly

One date I looked at for MEL-DPS has a fare star calss $499 AUD, vs JetSaver Light for $559 one way :!::shock::shock::!::!:

Agree, pretty good even if people want to travel to Hawaii. I will rethink a conference I had declined in July.

That Hawaii one has got me interested as well; has been $995 ex Sydney or $1165 ex Brisbane but didn't like the suggested connection times ex Brisbane.

What is the policy can you buy it now and if you have to cancel; can you just keep the money in credit. Any extra fees involved.

As mentioned in the other thread, I bought a SYD-HKT for $529 less a $100 Voucher I had from signing up to the JQ MasterCard late last year. Also no CC fees for paying with a JQ MC, so $429 isn't a bad deal in JQ *Class.

Now I need to find a cheap HKT-BKK fare to connect me up to my BKK-CAI-BCN fare for my 72 hours in Cairo before heading to EUR to commence a dONE4 exLHR

All in all ~$1100 all up to get to EUR with 3 stopovers, I'm happy with that.

Just booked myself, Mrs Batesy and two others for SYD-HKT for $1034 PP return in *class. Looking forward to Chang beer and keeping SG for this year.

The two of us are travelling *class SYD-HKT for $2090 return in July. What a great and very timely sale! We were going anyway in July but wouldn't have booked until later if this sale hadn't come along. You can't argue when it is only $100 dearer than a jet saver light fare to travel *class

Just make sure you guys pre-allocate seats in Row 1 or Seat 2C , as everything is pretty ordinary esp. if the person in front decides to recline onto your knees ;)

First time poster, came across this site a few weeks ago and have been learning lots.

Missed the best deals ex SYD but picked up a couple of these cheap NRT *Class seats in June ex OOL. Been wanting to take the Mrs there for a while but couldn't face Y or the high QF/CX J cost (I'd rather stump up and go all the way to Europe for an extra 2k some other time).

Have 1A/1B OOL>NRT and 1J/1K NRT>OOL (following the advice on this forum). Normally I prefer 2/3 with the under-seat storage but have taken the comments on board re legroom being more like QF Domestic J - worth it for the longer flight me thinks.

Thanks to Serfty and others who've posted their comprehensive reviews on JQ *class. Will be interesting!

All 4 pax booked into row 1. Cheers

^^^ Same here. All four of us in Row 1 (centre and right hand side) both ways.

WindowSeat,

Welcome to AFF.

Let us know how you get on.

Some really good prices there (Japan routes are rather ordinary).

Not SC run material, though (but much better than AU domestic).

Another first time poster here...

I presume Jetstar did the usual thing of only releasing a VERY small number of seats on selected flights for this promotion.

Was looking forward to grabbing a couple of seats on the SYD-HNL route at this price - which was less than half price! Made the mistake of waiting until this morning to do so and consequently missed out...:(

I guess it's a case of 'you snooze, you lose'...

Having done this route regularly I can heartily endorse the Row 1 and/or seat 2C recommendations.

Yes limited seats

I wanted 4 seats to HNL but when i put in 4 seats for our dates it displays
full fare, when i put in 2 seats for our dates it displays the cheap fare.

I did not book them though as the next date availiable cheap flight out is 2 days before the first fare comes back.

Ahh well ill keep looking

Thanks to samh004 at Brisbane drinks last night I became aware of this.

As I'm returning to uni this year I was gonna be deathstarring to Tokyo in the middle of the year to see the GF. Now I can get points, lounge, booze and 30kg of luggage!!! Hurrah!

Thanks muchly for this. I'm sure I received the email, but just glanced at it and thought "just so much cr*p".

Well, I did like the * class to BKK, so booked it MEL-BKK-MEL for Sep, grand total $1040.36.

Beats the cr*p out of Y class in any other airline, and I did get seats in row 1.

Great stuff!

PS, has anyone seen the great business class fares available on United, eg SFO-FRA-SFO for USD 2724 all-in (with free upgrade to first if you're 1K).

United Airlines - Summer in Europe business class sale

Having booked the promo to BKK, I wondered what I should do next.

Searched for good fares available ex BKK, came up with a blank.

So went to Plan-B. Checked out UA's fare SGN-SFO-SGN and booked it, all upgraded to business class using my Systemwide Upgrade Certs. So SYD-SFO-SYD in business class for less than AUD 2,500, with side trips to BKK and SGN.

Can't do that on QF...

Not to mention you start by flying in the wrong direction ;)
