Last year I received a email from ANA Mileage offering a gift.
Like many things in Japan, it was a complex and complicated email. I returned the email completed to the best of my ability.
Anyway much to my surprise, I received just before Christmas a parcel from Japan which contained
1. A desktop calendar
2. An A5 notebook (its called a diary but all the pages are blank.)
I gave the desktop calendar to my Japanese friend who was soo happy because it has all the Japanese holidays (there are many in Japan) and the notebook to my son-in-law who is enjoying recording his notes on the fine Japanese paper.
This gift only resulted after 2 return business trips from Perth to Narita in Jan 2020 and Feb 2020.
Post Covid, I will be on the direct service which is scheduled to re-start on 7 May 2022, at least 4 times per year, so cannot wait to see what additional perks I am offered when I become Diamond (currently Platinum after the 2 trips).
Its nice to be appreciated by a airline (unlike QF) - photos follow.
