Seems our flight booked HND-PEK (NH1255) has been changed from an ancient 767 to a shiny new 787.

Anyone have any tips for seating in J on this flight for a couple travelling with a 9 month old.

As far as I can tell there are 2 configurations for J on the ANA 787s. The one on seat guru I think is the long haul config which is shown on the ANA web site, I can't see how there would be any bassinet hanging points available in this configuration and it doesn't seem 'family friendly'.
The HND-PEK seems to use a medium haul configuration which is a 2-2-2 layout. Im guessing the middle 2 seats at the front may have a bassinet available but i cant tell if there is a wall on the side groups of walls. There is a second J cabin from row 5 onwards but again it doesnt show if there is a wall or bassinet position there. Their web site isn't very helpful unfortunately.

I would make a phone call and try and organise a Bassinett.

Will be nice going on the 787.

TR would be good but with a 9 month old just getting there will be the challenge.

Bassinets are organised for most of the trip but the ANA leg couldn't confirm seating, maybe because they were expecting a change in aircraft. I will try get confirmed bassinet seats again. Looking forward to trying the 787. Routing is actually PER-SIN-BKK-HKT-BKK-KKC-BKK-HND-PEK//PVG-SIN-PER. Longest sector is PVG-SIN so I am hoping things go ok and wont be pacing the aisles with miss rowdy too much.

At 9 mths they are fine.

Landings can be a bit difficult though.....
