I can’t be the only person in this situation.
I have a couple of thousand points on emirates, 7k on Sheraton which died which I am giving life to life this Christmas, 40+k on Qatar Airlines, 1000 on Marriott, the ever present Fly Buys (I’ll never forget the day (2008 I think) checking at BNE when the Business line was open to Gold, Silver and Fly Buy card holders and whale lovers to boot – I got a $200 MCO out of Qantas after I brought it to their attention because the line was actually longer that the economy check-in!!!) and an unused AsiaMiles – plus whatever else I’ve forgotten.
The main cards I currently hammer are:
QFF Platinum
Ambassador/Priority Club
And
China Southern
I also steer an AMEX and Citibank to QFF
The way I travel now – I won’t keep Platinum with QFF, so I am thinking what catch all cards are out there and what’s the best way to accumulate points with all the complexities remembering that besides actual flying – there’s shopping, petrol and credit cards and everybody’s got a scheme.
I am curious as to how other's have broken away from the QFF hold in Australia and succeeded points wise – and yes it’s also somewhat dependant on where you travel and your spending habits, what cards are linked to what etc etc.

So far so good .... when are the next drinks on in Bris?

I think i am looking for the Frequent Flyer Accounting Audit Wizard (FFAAW) who has the abilty to go back through my life (and family's) 20 years and extrapolate that forward for the time I have left on this mortal coil noting all the weird decsions made at the time and the reasons for them.

Like what do I do with those 510 points in my Delta account with whom I have never flown!

They are on tomorrow night at 17:30 at The Tower Mill Hotel on Wickham Terrace.

As for how to unbundle yourself from QFF, that’s not exactly easy. I note Velocity allows you to earn points on your shopping, but not as easily as EDR and QFF do. And that’s pretty much where it ends :p
