AirAsia X Launches Kuala Lumpur-Bahrain-London (Gatwick)

Really not sure. I flew them once STN-KUL-ORY in 2010 or 2011. Then it was a 340 and It was around the easter holidays. The flights were far from full and at that time of the year they should of been.

Then I was working in the fares department of a tour operator and when I told people at work who I was flying most of them didn't know they flew to the UK. I don't think they marketed the route in the UK as well as they should of.

As others have said the fares would have to be amazing and add in the fact that there is a stop at BAH and it to KUL it might be a struggle to sell it. They might have more chance if it was a non stop LGW-BKK service. But then again long haul low cost from the UK hasn't been massively successful for anyone.

just my opinion
