Advice on family pooling and where my points should go

Hi all,

I recently re-qualified for gold, a few months ahead of the mid-Feb deadline.
I'm only on 555 SC and not flying all that much, so I don't think chasing platinum is really on the cards.

My partner is currently pooling points to me. Does it make more sense to start sharing back in an effort to build her to silver (currently on a measly 20 SC) .. or keep pumping points into mine to make my next gold requal easier? I always get muddled on the timelines for this (do I start over in Feb or is it more rolling requal?)

Hi bobcat,

If you're no chance of hitting Plat then definitely pool back to her. If you've already requalified any SC you're earning above the 400 needed are in effect going to waste. When mid Feb comes around you'll need to earn another 400 between then and mid Feb 2015. You can't earn additional SC to count towards the next requal.
