Hi AFF'ers...

I have 54,000 KrisFlyer miles to spend before April 2014 and I am looking for any tips on where the experienced travellers think I should visit? I don't have any trips planned over the next 18 months where I see SQ being top of the list to travel with so I was thinking about using them on a J or F one way flight to somewhere in Asia and then using a VA partner to travel back in order to help re-qualify for Platinum for next year for Velocity.

I don't have any travel dates in mind (but considering late November/Early December) and would be leaving from MEL. Happy to spend up to around $700 in extra miles and taxes if needed as well as the full fare to return back to MEL on VA

Thanks in anticipation!!

Myanmar is top of my 'want to visit' list and its well serviced by SQ of course. Wanted to visit this year, before it gets too 'opened up', but other travel intervened.

Next year! I think getting a visa is a bit of an ordeal (ie lengthy time passport is away) - one of the reasons I got a second, 'concurrent' passport this year.

May not help on the VA front though ...

Thanks RooFlyer - Myanmar sounds interesting but I reckon VA flight back is more important for keeping status as I won't be doing anywhere near as much travel over the next 12 months!
