Adelaide-Melbourne-Doha on Qatar Airways question

I’m planning on traveling to Qatar and there is a really cheaper ticket to Doha flying from Adelaide via Melbourne for about 90 min stop. Would it be possible to board the flight from Melbourne?

As per the other thread, you’d be “offloaded” as a “no show” if you didn’t start the journey in ADL. If it’s significantly cheaper, stump up for a revenue or points flight to reposition to ADL or maybe even PER if the the price is competitive.
