Adelaide lounge.

Been a while but back in the best virgin lounge in Australia.
Food service etc etc all good.
Lounge manager walking around making sure all are happy.

Are the renovations complete yet? Last time i was there there was a temporary wall and we were all herded into one end of it all?

Not that I noticed. Looked the same to me.

Its now finished but it was only a light refresh. The meeting rooms and office area were removed to create more seating areas. They painted and laid new carpet. It looks like the furniture consists of reupolstered and refurbished chairs from the MEL lounge. The seating capacity was almost doubled which is nice. The entry, food service and amenity areas remain unchanged.

All in all its kinda cosy and simple.....a little like Adelaide in general

As BNE is almost like home to me (well actually, nicer than home) and the team there are bloody close to impeccable, all I can say is BRING IT ON VOZZY!

It's funny how we all rate them. I find the adel lounge a bit more personal due to size.
99% of staff are good around the country and service our needs, being from MELB I use the melb
Lounge more frequently, just too big and takes too long to get a coffee when your pushed for time.
Guys from ADEALIDE have made an effort to get to know me persoanlly.

What the BNE lounge!!! Their clocks are always out by an hour ( they mutter something about confused cows).... And what is that local thing about the shorts and long socks. Just wait til they renovate my local lounge in sydney It will assume its rightful place at number 1

I have found the staff to be better in Adelaide but the layout, ambience, food and facilities in the Melbourne lounge much better.

I'm partial to the CBR lounge myself. During quiet times the staff actually come up to you and ask if they can bring you anything.

Tonight on my lounge rules at 7.30, each of the states battle it out with a latte competition, who can deliver a coffee to the most Platinums in ten minutes without burning the milk, while serving the golds a beer without losing the head! The two worst performers will then battle it out with a toast off!

If only they'd make that a full DJ run lounge and not just contract the thing out. Mind you, I've said too much already on this topic, and AFF drinks nights always yield interesting and valuable inside information

Absolutely shocking coffee in the ADL lounge yesterday. Milk burnt, coffee weak. Normally the lounge baristas are world class...

Oh wait a minute What do we have here! The virgin staff have noticed 2 people loitering outside asking the Plats to invite them in!

They swoop in with a kick to the shin and a poke to the eye. They have opened up a can of kick cough and the Lounge Angels have gone all Charlies Angels.

The lesson here folks is " Never underestimate the power or pride of a Lounge Angel"

I'd offer about +5 for the ADL angels. They are just wonderful. And probably +2 for the lounge. For example, got off a flight that landed at about 8pm last week. First win, the lounge was actually open, unlike the competition. Went in for a call of nature and a coffee. Catering staff were cleaning up but no problem at all to get a short black.
