Just experienced my first use of the Accor Plus dining benefits at Q dining in circular quay. Impressions were the food was nice, but not great, and the service did not live up to the price of the food at all.
However with an $80 saving on food it came to be reasonable value...... Still would not rush back in a hurry.

Does anyone have favourites they get great value from using this program?

The free night is obviously worth using and if you use at the right hotel, can be pretty good value. Though I agree, the 50% saving on food (based on two diners) is a pretty big benefit. I've used the benefit quite a bit for breakfasts and had some pretty awesome buffet breakfasts at Sofitel properties drop from ~$80 for two people down to $40.

My first post so Hi, but I finally have something constructive to add.

Try Scarlett at Harbour Rocks. I was squeezed in as a guest, it's tiny so worth booking. I found the food and service the best out of all the Accor brands in Sydney. Sitting next to the convict carved walls for the evening made it memorable as well.

M Galleries tend to have the better food experiences. The Inchcolm in Brisbane is fantastic as well.

Thanks for the recommendation. Went last night and would definitely go back. Great food and service was fine. Was quiet for a Friday night though!

Thanks for the welcome.

It looks like we may be onto a winner with Scarlett.

Has anyone tried M Gallery at Leura yet? I'm still too traumatised from having to stay there for work when it was a peppers rotting corpse. No heating In the middle of July was the least of its problems. I'm not a local anymore so I wouldn't risk going all the way up there for a disappointing experience. It may be another hidden MG gem.

Just before Christmas there was a competition where you could win a stay and dine at The Ternary at Novotel DH if you booked with the app. I don't know if it is any good, but if it was a first prize in a promotion for their restaurants you would assume they had some faith in it.

I find it disappointing that the Sofitels are always so awful with food. Accor are really missing a fantastic opportunity to bring the best of France here.

I've been a few times at the Fairmont in Leura - with red hot rooms and other Accor specials it's easy to get a room during the week for $150/night or even less which I believe is great value, especially if breakfast is included. I've heard horror stories from the Pepper's days but the joint has definitely turned around since Accor took it over!

The restaurant is good although the menu is quite small, anyway with the 50% Accor Plus discount of food it's definitely on my list, although when visiting in winter the savings on food are quickly offset by the spending on red wine

Must say the most enjoyable plus stay I had was at Sails Yulura. The whole Uluru experience is hard to beat. But definitely felt that the staff at Sails went out of their way looking after my party of 4 celebrating my sisters 50th taking into account I was a plus and a platinum member.

i was looking for local resterauants to try, and to use my accor plus dining benefits.
will definitely checkout Scarlett :)

Tried the Ternary in Aug 2015, food was good, was worth it with 50% off. at full price I would have left a little disappointed.
Free parking at the novotel darling harbour for platinum members was an awesome touch! :D

Interesting - is this only for hotel guests or also for restaurant patrons? It doesn't seem to be a published benefit.

I saw 3-4x spots parking spots reserved for platinum & 3-4x spots for gold members (each spot had a floor mounted sign).
As soon as you drive into their "U" shaped driveway.

I just showed the concierge my platinum card and he let me park there. He didn't ask if we were dining only or staying as well.
However he might have figured that out when we took our suitcases out of the boot :p

Went to the Medici at the Hotel Muse in Bangkok recently. Great food with live opera in an attractive setting. Would go back for sure. Wine is horribly overpriced though. Go for a drink at the Speakeasy bar on the rooftop before or after great views and drinks

I really appreciate this thread. It will have an impact on where I book in the future as well. Sometimes you don't want to have to leave the premises.

I like the parking hack, hopefully it becomes a standard thing for all properties with the tier changes.

Accor staff seem to have room to move with parking charges. I took a video of the nightly roach wars on the balconies of Pullman Hyde park and had charges removed at check out. My friend also had Novotel Brisbane parking free as she mentioned she was there to visit people in hospital. I don't know if its standard but desk jockies can give free drinks vouchers and parking out at their discretion.

Are there any places in Bali to eat worth the visit?

I now want to find a way to make this happen in the next 12 months. Thanks for the review.

We spent 4 nights at the Sofitel Melbourne and loved their breakfasts and great views.
Dined at the restaurant one night as well, food was good but not exceptional.

I will have to look up Scarlett.....never heard of it.

The hotel as a venue to stay in also looked very promising. I have this on my to do list for next year!

Really enjoying my last 2.5 weeks of travel around South East Asia as a platinum member.

Stayed at 3 ibis (Jaipur and Mumbai in India, bencoolen in Singapore) and now at Pullman in Jakarta.

Jaipur offered me free breakfast for every day of my stay. Welcome drive was non alcoholic but a very nice mocktail none the less.

Mumbai was disappointing, some prepackaged juice in the fridge in the room and got woken up at 1am by staff saying they forgot to scan my card at check-in and if I could come down or they might be able to send someone up.. Told them to get stuffed!

Singapore was excellent, was offered a 3g mobile with unlimited international and local calls and free internet to take out and about. Asked for extra 1hr for checkout, was given till 4pm.

Jakarta, my first stay at a Pullman central park. Executive lounge access, room upgrade, and the attention you get, wow!
Met a potential customer over breakfast in the executive lounge too, obsessed accor member like myself :p
