Hello there

I have an Accord Advantage Plus - Platinum card and I just realised I can use it for dining discounts even if I don't stay at a participating hotel... so I was wondering what would be the best way to take advantage of it in Sydney, in particular for buffet breakfast (think lazy Sunday mornings) and dinners (perhaps a gourmet tasting menu...?)

Lots of options in the participating hotels list but I was wondering if something really stands out :)

Appreciate any suggestions!

My only suggestion is breakfast at Sofitel Sydney.

Cheers

A work colleague and I stayed at Mercure parramatta last night. I used the card and there was a ticket in the room for a free bottle of wine (nothing special but drinkable) when dining.

Total cost of two mains, a side of fries, bottle of wine and a beer courtesy of a welcome drink voucher - $35.53 for the two of us.

Can't beat that.

I imagine I get extra points too.

Thanks for the advice guys :)

One more question... I was wondering if I can use one of the "members for a day" certificate and give it to another couple so that we can dine in 4 people and still get the 50% discount (instead of 25% for a single card with 4 people...)

Has anyone tried this? We would only use it for dinner so none of us would actually be a guest of the hotel...
