AA Meal Selection - vegetarian?

Hi all,

I have 2 flights on AA coming up (flying business and first). The chance to choose my entrée has come up on the reservation but can't find any option to select a special meal?

Can this be done? and can it be done online or would I need to call?

Feel silly but tried to look through options on my 7" tablet and can't find anything!

You're right about that. On my recent AA first flights there was no vegetarian option on most of them (breakfast had cereal and fresh fruit as an option).

AFAIK vegetarian meals are only available to order on first and business transcontinental flights (eg: LAX-JFK). Are you in either of these? In this case you need to call them to order one.

Thanks Ewing. These are international flights to Central America (JFK - CUN and GUA - MIA-LGA). Of course the preselection meals are all meat (I actually eat some fish but there's not even fish options), so I will go prepared and hope for cereal and biscuits!

Got lucky. One flight the pasta was vegetarian. Flights were re-routed due to the blizzard out of NYC so ended up having short flights too. No vegetarian on the JFK-LHR though either (Fortunately I was already full).
