Hi all,

Just wondering, would anybody know if the Qsuites layout in the A350 900 is split into 2 cabins? The Qatar Airways site indicates that it's one big cabin, whereas seatguru shows that there is a split between row 6 and 7.

Currently booked into a flight where all the "true" window seats are occupied in row 1&3. I'm travelling with my wife and currently have 5A and 7A selected

Thanks!

Our suites flight was a 350-1000. The three of us can’t recall a separate mini cabin.

if you’re not going for the bed with your wife, I highly recommend a rear facing window seat to watch the air vortex entering the front of an engine.

I can't actually answer your question as I've not been on athe A359 with Q-suites. However I have with the previous generartion business class and the last few rows are behind the doors. However, there is no actually bulkhead, its just one large cabin.

Have you considered a centre pair? I don't think you can select them online, you need to call up. They're excellent for a couple.

We would rather the window seats, since we will be flying into Milan in the morning and would prefer to look out the windows. We sleep next to each other every day, so sleeping away from each other isn't a bad thing ;)

I agree with this. Its more like a half height bulkhead. Very private but not like staring at a wall.

Are you sure your flight is Qsuites?

Looks like the back row of this (between the 2 Qatar logos)

@pchammond Yes. There is a rear mini-cabin of, I think, 3 rows - 7, 8, 9. I was on one DOH-ADL QR914, row 9. Trip Report with pics etc:

As my experience indicates, I would recommend sitting in the forward cabin, as the rear cabin gets served meals last (If thats an issue)

100% sure. When I originally booked, the seat map was for the old seats. Since then, the seat map is for Q suites.

Ah damn. Not sure if we can both get true window seats in the front cabin it seems. I might have to be a good husband and get the forward facing seat

That’s funny. I was about to say the opposite. It is clearly crew dependent. On our flight the crew took the mini cabin orders very efficiently, and first, so when our crew came to take our order, some selections weren’t available!

So maybe that makes it easier for you? 😂

Thanks everyone for the help.

I either sacrifice my view, or maybe I can be an even better husband and go the double.

Previous leg will be from BKK in the 777 with Q suites, but it's in the middle of the night so no views but plenty of window availability

It was an obviously new FA. She was ultra-meticulous with the table-cloth, cutlery setting out. Every crease straightened and re-straightened, every mis-spaced thing on the table was arranged and re-arranged. Things served one item at a time - return to galley, bring next thing. It was excruciating to watch as she made her very slow way up the cabin! Like I said on the thread, not a biggie except I was hungry!

Go the back cabin window seat then. It’s the luck of the draw for service.

Actually the main advantage is the bed is actually a bit bigger in the middle pair. Once the divider is down, they put a little mattress (for want of a better description) that goes on top of the retracted divider. This proably adds an inch or two to the width of each bed.

As for order of service; its completely random. They'll often take your meal order prior to take off. Given it's dine on demand, just let them know how quickly or slowly you'd like your meal.

Also, based on my Qatar experience, the odds of an aircraft change and a downgrade in J product is high. My big trip in Nov had two out of three Q suites downgraded. All up I've flown Qatar J six times and 50% of the time it's not been the J it should have been on booking.
