According to this official flyer from Toga, it starts at 11am eastern - which would explain why their booking engine has completely died in the last 15min.

So doesn't look like it... (was trying for the FT AGM but no go there)

The website is all but useless. Timeouts on the booking engine and it can't connect to the database. It's pretty coughpy

The "Worst Performing Website During A Sale" award has now been passed from Jetstar to Toga (Medina, Vibe & Travelodge) Worst web sale ever!

11 times at the checkout / 11 times FAILED!!!!

These guys need to get a lottery permit to operate these sales

Yeah they should have started the 50 hours bit at Midnight; that way the keen people can get on and book something, and the regular visitors to the website; would still be able to book a room for non sale periods.

Damn! Needed a room on 22nd Nov in MEL but none are $50

There was a notice when I checked at 7 p.m that they all sold out, so they were all gone some time before that.
