3000 bonus points for stays in the next 90 days

Did anyone else get this offer today?

I got an email saying 'A personalised offer that can earn you 3,000 bonus points. All you have to do is register, then book and stay with us within the next 90 days. This offer won’t last long.'

But when I clicked through to register, it said 'We’re sorry, this offer is not available to you. A list of current offers can be found on the IHG® Rewards Club Offers page. We look forward to having you as a guest.'

Why send a 'personalised offer' if it's not available to the person you're sending it to? Strange...

Follow it up with them
Something is going wrong with their reward program IMHO
I have to chase for points on virtually all my stats and even then they shortchange me and I have to keep at them

Points received in my account two days later.

I get this every time I stay at HI Melbourne Airport. Points don't post, submit a claim, get awarded points for room rate only, chase up the incidental spend points. It get's very tedious. I have no issues at any other IHG property and points always post 4 days after check out.

I got the offer for 1500 points. Couldn't register so I called up and they gave me a reference number. After staying and the points posting a few days later I called up to claim the missing 1500 points.

However I haven't got bonus double incidental spend points. Also the stay hasn't triggered my accelerate awards and bonuses... Pretty annoying.

THAT'S EXACTLY my experience with them, ironically I have lodged a claim tonight for a stay a week ago.

I have another stay there in about 2 weeks, if it happens to me again I am going to speak to the Manager there and point out they are not the only place to stay at at Melbourne Airport and why does it happen virtually every time at their place

Chase it up, I did and they said to me they do a "sweep" after about 6 weeks for the Accelerate promotion.

I found a "4,000 Bonus Points + Breakfast" offer for Sydney Potts Point HI.

It cost an additional $10. to the 'Flex Rate' cost.

Maybe other properties are also offering something similar ( but I haven't checked ) ...

Possibly but would suggest with a large letters warning at the top that people have had accounts cancelled for using promos to which they were "not entitled".
