241 Velocity

Dear colleagues,

How long does it usually takes you to book a 241 offer via Velocity?
I have been at the phone now for almost 20 minutes and it's still not complete (manual calculations).
Finally my quote was only 46 A$ cheaper compared to booking 2 saver fares myself. Can't be right.
Earlier I got quoted the same amount for a flexi fare? What is going on?
Could be just me, but I don't have time for this... and the wrong information doesn't help either.
System crashed on her as well, so she will call me back.

By the way when I tried to book my own rewards flights I didn't get pass the personal details page. It wouldn't accept the phone numbers as usual (and I know I entered it correctly).
Too bad.

Booking time: > 1 hour and not yet completed. By the way - just a simple return Melbourne - Sydney.

I did one a couple of weeks ago, took about 1/2 and hour seems to be a very manual process, did save me a couple of hundred $ on a BNE-CNS return flight.

Welcome to the world of 241s. My record so far is in excess of 4 hours on the phone so you've got a way to go yet

I usually allow up to an hour for the conversation , you should find it easier post December 1 after everyone has ditched their Virgin money cards.

Yip a comfy seat a glass of your favorite beverage always helps. My profile said I had 8 flights remaining think its a glitch. Poor old consultant went into a tail spin as you can only get 4 per card? However +1 has a highflyer as well so who knows. Already used 4 sectors BNE SYD DWN return this year just booked BNE CNS return and still show 4 owing? Go figure I'm confused

Try changing a Flexi or business 2-for-1! It takes as long as the original booking as they have to generate the new ticket manually.

I guess this is one reason these fares are not available from 1 Dec.

I've never had the whole process take more than 15mins (and have done three now). All have been bog standard cheapest seats and all on the same route (SYD-MKY).

It took me about 20 minutes when I did it earlier this year with no hassles.
PER-MEL and return for $120 each way. Not a fantastic deal, but still bette than the going rates on the days I wanted to go.

Am about to do it again for the same fare
