How early can we enter Cathay Pacific/Qantas Lounges in HKG Airport?

Hello all, apologies if this has been asked before - I did a search but couldn’t find an answer. I will be arriving at HKG Airport approximately six hours before my flight. I am flying Business Class with Qantas with no other status. Will I be able to access the Cathay and/or Qantas lounges at that time, or is the rule strictly admission only three hours before the flight? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

QF checkin only opens 3 hours prior, so if able to online checkin and only carry on you should be able to access CX lounges, assuming you get through…

Yes, as per above, it depends if you have your boarding pass!

If you do, no issues, you can proceed through transit security and to the lounge.

If not, you may have to wait for the QF transit desk to open. You need to basically wait.

Baggage may already be checked through, so there may not be a need to enter HKG.

I’ve had the same question and I called up the HK airport to find out. As above, QF counter opens 3 hours prior to the scheduled departure time. The earliest flight QF128 HKG-SYD (during daylight saving time) departs at 18:35, hence the QF counter opens at 15:35.

The Qantas Hong Kong lounge is one of the best, it can’t be missed.
