I thought the 2016 improved after a few hours, but the 2017 is something else - very much how you describe the 2016. Simply thin, flat with a large aroma of sulfur compounds that don't seem to dissipate. Undrinkable, disappointing. Unfortunately, I have a dozen 2015 also on the way now.
