Last time I checked it was ~158k something for bne to europe through doh? How much effort does it take to get 100k avios? Can't even search for flights or use the points calculator for the doh to europe leg.

Yeah definitely more available as long as not originating from within Aus. Eg can see both first and business class rewards available with Emirates etc to europe for early next year if departing from Malaysia or Singapore.

Does this bode well for them resuming their reward seats for the east coast to DOH routes? Or is that still pretty unlikely to happen at this point going forward? Emirates is hardly a great alternative especially with their huge fees now.

Just gonna keep checking the seats available every once in a while through their payment screen. We're still long way off being 1.5 months out and so far only about 1/3 of the seats look to have been taken so far.
