    Qantas App issues?

I just checked my app and I'm still me, with my 0 status credits and 4 figure points balance 😅 😂

    Qantas Top-up points (limited-time bonuses)

Neither am I - I drink probably less than 5 times a year so purchasing alcohol for the purpose of points is worthless. I may contemplate purchasing points as I'll probably be slowing down in churning CCs soon - but then I realise purchasing points is somewhat "single use" compared to applying...

50000 Bonus Points for new eligible Car or Home Insurance

Cost of living pressures is pretty much the "it" thing now. $2,500 worth of groceries, depending on your family size, will be weeks / months worth and some would find it more beneficial to spend on necessities over luxuries. That, or the average person wouldn't know how to redeem reward...

Want to fly PER-SYD in December but the only reward seats go via another capital city

Looking a bit closer to the flights as per the OP - the seat pitch is listed as 76cm on the PER to MEL leg, but 94cm on the MEL to SYD leg? Means that the longer transcontinental leg from Perth to Melbourne is in economy, and the short Melbourne to Sydney hop is in business (ie. one of those...

Qantas Increases Legroom Charges; Changes to Row 4 selection on most 737 flights

Not surprised that between T24 and T80 that there's still a lot of Row 4 seats available. $35 is a bit steep, but then again - it's Qantas, they somehow need to pay their executives their ridiculous unjustified bonuses.

50000 Bonus Points for new eligible Car or Home Insurance

I've also just had a look at Qantas Home Insurance - it's 2x what my renewal with RACV is. As much as more QFF points will help towards my next (after this year's trip) trip, it's not worth it when it's 50% more for my car insurance and 100% more for my home insurance! The most I'd go for is...

50000 Bonus Points for new eligible Car or Home Insurance

Thankyou, I did also see this but I've now got my renewal with AAMI - my renewal is almost 50% cheaper than Qantas Car Insurance. Had it been 10-20% or the same price - no question, I'd move to Qantas, but not for 50% more - even if it comes with up to 30k points.

Card Promotions New ANZ Frequent Flyer Black 110,000 points & $100 back

I don't think there's pro-rated refunds of annual fees anymore (if ever it's been offered - certainly not in my 6 years of doing the CC churning game) - otherwise they'd be giving 95% of cardholders refunds after they cancel once points have been issued. I closed my ANZ Qantas Platinum card in...

"oneworld" award (132.4K/249.6K/318K/455K) Planning - The Definitive Thread

If all looks correct even despite the e-ticket number being the same, it should be okay. If not already, do also check on the Royal Jordanian website as well - using your Qantas issued reference number. Don't be too concerned about using the Royal Jordanian website to check (even if you don't...

"oneworld" award (132.4K/249.6K/318K/455K) Planning - The Definitive Thread

If you've added / removed or amended a flight, you should be issued a new / different e-ticket number (ie. shouldn't be identical to the old one). I believe the only case of the same / an identical e-ticket number should be if there's an involuntary schedule change (ie. change of timing etc).

Qantas rolls out Classic Plus Flight Rewards

To be fair though, the average punter should also have their own initiative to search / read as well - there was a link on the Qantas website outlining the differences between Classic and Classic+: https://www.qantas.com/au/en/frequent-flyer/use-points/classic-flight-rewards.html

"oneworld" award (132.4K/249.6K/318K/455K) Planning - The Definitive Thread

Same here. I said to myself that once my OWA was over, I'd jump ship to other programs (ie. resume reaccumulating VFF points etc). I did check VFF though and their business awards availability was horrible / almost non-existant for the routes I wanted. I don't churn CCs to redeem for economy...

"oneworld" award (132.4K/249.6K/318K/455K) Planning - The Definitive Thread

Not always the case - I had confirmed e-ticket numbers on the RJ portal but 1 leg was showing as "Not Ticketed" / "Ticket not issued" on the Cathay Portal. I think as long as you've got an e-ticket number showing on the RJ portal, you'll be right to go even despite otherwise on the CX MMB portal.

Qantas rolls out Classic Plus Flight Rewards

Although somewhat a convoluted route from SIN to ZRH, nice that you were able to get business class seats all the way. (QF/OW in general are pretty weak when it comes to options ex SIN to Europe though, unless you're okay with MH and transitting via KUL or find rare BA availability) I think the...

"oneworld" award (132.4K/249.6K/318K/455K) Planning - The Definitive Thread

In theory this is easy - you search and see your desired award seats online, you then call up to add them to your existing booking. Sounds simple. In practice however, it is much more difficult if my now done business OWA experience is anything to go by. I had well over 100+ calls with Qantas...

Why not book each leg on separate PNR?

Yes, that too. I personally don't (want to) use any 3rd party websites / apps like that since Check My Trip (and we all know the whole debacle since that very fateful update which rendered it absolutely useless).

Qantas rolls out Classic Plus Flight Rewards

I think it depends on the amount of points you have and how much value you put into them. For me, I'm not a massive points earner (should just be able to reach Points Club in a few months time - but I did top-up some points a few months ago as I did the sums and it was cheaper to buy points...

Why not book each leg on separate PNR?

If you've got sufficient time between each leg (talking about at least a few days) and you're not travelling on a OWA, separate PNRs is fine. In fact, my next trip is on 3 PNRs even despite them all being on the same trip. Each leg has at least 4-5 days apart. I did this due to the...

Qantas Increases Legroom Charges; Changes to Row 4 selection on most 737 flights

I was lucky enough to get a seat in Row 4 for my QF flights in both directions last week thanks to T-80 before they introduced this change - I logged in to the minute and selected my seats free of charge just over a week ago. I'm a lowly Bronze member and wouldn't pay the exorbitant fee for...
