What to Expect Flying to DFW on QF7

I have done MEL-SYD-DFW twice in "J" on A380's and connected on to various USA cities. The A380's sheer size makes you forget your in a tin can for 15+ hours and made the trip easy. I went to JFY (via Syd and AKL) last year on the 787 in "J" and it was tedious. Size really does matter folks...

Qantas Classic Awards for AA Business Class

I have found work arounds and had to use BA from YVR to LHR and on the way back LHR to BOS but of course the carrier charges are huge. Thanks everyone John

Qantas Classic Awards for AA Business Class

So...there has been a change in AA seat policy. I wasn't aware that they had gone to a dynamic system. I suspected something had happened but I wasn't sure what it was. Thank you for clearing that up. I guess we add AA to QATAR as no longer really an option :-( Thanks for bringing me up to speed.

Qantas Classic Awards for AA Business Class

Good afternoon all, HELP Please. I am a member of QANTAS Frequent Flyers and I have booked dozens of frequent flyer seats over the years. Many of these on AA flights using my QANTAS points BUT i am just looking at flights now and despite putting several hours into it there seems to be a no AA...

Qantas Revenue booking cancellations (under covid19)

I have no idea where you keep pulling these figures for QANTAS return flights from MEL - JFK for $3,600? These are the prices copied from the QANTAS.com site today: Business class return flights range from$8,640 - $13,090 so your pricing is out by a minimum of $5,000 and up to almost $10,000. if...

Qantas Revenue booking cancellations (under covid19)

I see you are back to trying to compare one way fares with return fares. The $500 extra to fly first class is a ONE WAY TICKET. The difference for business flights I booked and payed for that QANTAS have had my money for 8 months for is now quoted at over $2,600 more.. as I said look it up on...

Qantas Revenue booking cancellations (under covid19)

The prices you quoted are One Way NOT return. My ticket is from Melbourne to New York return for $6,000. If you go to QANTAS.COM and look up DEALS and look up Business return MEL to JFK you will see it is $8,640 at very best!

Qantas Revenue booking cancellations (under covid19)

Perhaps check a few trial bookings on QANTAS. You will find the absolute cheapest Business class return MEL to JFK is just under $9,000 ...and most dates higher. Compare that with QANTAS Sale fares which are $6,000 for the same seats...I know, I have them. So think you will find in most cases...

Qantas Revenue booking cancellations (under covid19)

Thais because you bought your original ticket in Feb 2020....so you either get 12 on from the original ticket issue date OR September 30 whichever is longer. In MY case (like many others) I bought my ticket in August 2019 so according to QANTAS new policy I get to September 30th at the latest to...

Qantas Revenue booking cancellations (under covid19)

Correct...assuming your fare rules include a 100% refund (as it seems domestic Business does) BUT if your fare rules, like mine, for international Business class flights allow for a $600 cancellation fee then QANTAS can deduct the $600

Qantas Revenue booking cancellations (under covid19)

I just spoke to the nice man at the ACCC and he confirmed that QANTAS do NOT have to give a full refund even if they cancel the flights as the ACCC deem this to be out of QANTAS' control and a direct result of government action. He further advised that they can do nothing about downstream QANTAS...

Qantas Revenue booking cancellations (under covid19)

Hi there Vic... thought you (and perhaps others) looking to find whether or not your fare conditions include a FULL refund clause might be interested (and/or disappointed) in this link: https://www.qantas.com/regions/amadeus/minirules/AUUSSALE_SUMMARY/

Qantas Revenue booking cancellations (under covid19)

Hi MEL. despite what I have written I for one would be quite happy to take a QANTAS voucher IF they guaranteed they would NOT use it as a cynical exercise in charging us more for the same trip THEY canceled so that we had to take it at a later date at a higher price they then charge. This is a...

Qantas Revenue booking cancellations (under covid19)

Serfty I bow to your greater knowledge of the fine details and the interpretation of the rules... But i guess it would be up to the courts... in around 3 or 5 years when they got around to hearing it and the legal profession had milked you for all your worth. I believe you could be technically...

Qantas Revenue booking cancellations (under covid19)

My understanding is that QANTAS will rely on the following section of their "Refund" policy to deny paying me (and all other affected passengers) the full refund. Their policy (just below the section you quoted goes on to read: Important information Disclaimer:* Delays or cancellations within...

Qantas Revenue booking cancellations (under covid19)

I know QANTAS like all businesses is doing it tough... but the law is the law and they know the risks of running a business (or they should and carry insurance to cover them). Despite all this QANTAS still refuse to cancel paid tickets without a fee. In my case (and I am not alone) I booked...

Thanks for the reply. I think I will wait it out until QANTAS try to change my flights as you suggested

Qantas Revenue booking cancellations (under covid19)

I think "Lynda2475" is asking the same question I have (that haven't had a reply) but here goes. I am booked to fly on April 28th so my date fits the newly announced "Free cancellation rules" but when I looked at QANTAS.com for details on the voucher all it said was: "the Voucher (sic).....can...

"oneworld" award (132.4K/249.6K/318K/455K) Planning - The Definitive Thread

Hmm... I just did a mock itinerary on the QANTAS site with the routing of MEL-AKL-PPT STOP PPT-LAX STOP LAX-JFK STOP JFK-LHR-DOH stop DOH SYD-MEL all bar 2 sectors in Business and it came out at 318,000 points. This would infer that code share flights DO count as One World sectors wouldn't it...
