Osaka Kansai Airport has not lost a checked bag in 30 years

Shows what can be achieved if you are more interested in customer service and quality rather than outsourcing to the lowest cost company!

    Your Oldest Travel Accessory

Still got my silver Ipod of similar vintage but it now lives in the car. My sleeping on planes trick used to be playing 3 Enya albums on loop at low volume.:)

I always carry one but it is the one thing I consistently forget so my current one is only a couple of months old:)

    Your Oldest Travel Accessory

What is you oldest 'Travel Accessory' that you still use all the time? Is it a Bag? Gadget? Garment or something else. This folding comb/hair brush has spent the last 14 years in my toilet bag on every trip I have taken. What makes it even better is that it was an Emirates Business Class...

You know you are a frequent flyer when ...

I am all for the move away from all the plastic shampoo bottles, but why can’t they still supply us with a small bar of soap instead of that liquid soap which I hate. Very soon one sign I am a frequent traveller will be the return of a travel soap box to my toilet bag.

In my case, coming back from holiday it is more likely to be the amount of weight gained!

The most surprisingly good restaurant you've discovered while travelling

I often find restaurants in the Philipinnes serve some of the most authentic Italian food. May be some thing to do with the large number of filipinos who work on cruise ships which feature Italian restaurants.

    Your longest trip point-to-point?

It would probably be in September 1997 . . . . Madrid, Heathrow, Bangkok, Sydney, Melbourne. 36 hours in total due to problems with a door that required temporary repair in Bangkok and further work when we were diverted to Sydney Sydney. at least it was in business.

Biggest difference in between seat classes? Poll

I don't really understand your ranking but from my long haul flights in 3 classes on Qantas over the last few years. Premium Economy is slightly better than Economy, but Business Class is a lot better than Premium Economy. I tried Premium Econmy on a flight to the UK last month and regreted it...

Middle East Airspace Closures [QF9 to LHR cancelled]

Well If you are in the Q Lounge in Perth I am the guy wearing a Kookaburra Shirt....come over and say G'day. It looks like we have more time to kill.

    Seat poacher

Managed to choose the wrong row a couple of times myself (my excuse is being shattered on the 2nd leg of 2 long haul sectors) but always very apologetic if it turns out to be another passengers seat. Several years ago in my long haul economy times I can admit to being quick to move into an...

Middle East Airspace Closures [QF9 to LHR cancelled]

Just got some info from Qantas for Wednesdays QF9 flight. Apparently the same plane will leave Perth via Singapore as QF 209 4 hours earlier to arrive at Heathrow at the scheduled time. Looks like I’m going to be leaving home in Melbourne around 4.00am to get to Perth in time.

LHR has been my least favourite transit point for other cities in the UK, or Europe, for probably 10 years

We are booked on QF9 on Wednesday but Sunday it’s still showing ‘on time’ on the Qantas App!

    Amazing Emirates Business Class experience

Always mention special occasions. Back in 2017 we had a 13 week RTW trip for our 40th anniversary. On leaving the first leg to Hong Kong on Qantas Business we were given a bottle of champagne. The actual anniversary was in San Francisco. The hotel gave us a bowl of roses, champagne and...

Cruise ships leaving behind late returners

Having stood on my balcony watching the pier on several occasions it seems those that are late are typically those who wander into town and have a few drinks and forget the time. You see them saunter back from town and then panic as they see the gangway being removed!

    Travel-sized cosmetics

Photos like this are published by Toothpaste companies wanting to sell more toothpaste. Generally you only need a blob about the size of a green pea!

    Travel-sized cosmetics

My tips are Always get a toothpaste sample when I visit the dentist, they are good for at least 2 weeks holiday. Travel with a small shaving brush, I use this with the hotel bar soap, or squirt some of the liquid soap in my palm, either way gives me an acceptable amount of foam. On a similar...
