Stayed at CP - Hunter Valley in April, 2016. Gold Elite and was greeted as such. Free Drink was the only perk offered but I did ask for late checkout and was given an extra hour. On a side note, the breakfast was the best I've had in any hotel. Would stay again for sure.

Hi All, I am new to IHG Rewards but got a Gold Tier through Ambassador program. Title says it all. Should I covert to Qantas Points or keep the IHG Rewards?

Thanks for the response. After some research I've actually decided to go IHG and pay $200 USD for the Ambassador status. I figured with the free weekend night that almost covers it alone and according to others, the 5000 points you get equates to almost another night so I haven't really 'lost out'.
