Hi All,

Is there any easier way to search Classic Rewards flights without trawling through the Qantas website playing with dates/locations etc?

My wife are looking to spend our 220k points on a trip for us. 2 Ad, 1 Chi, 1 Inf (Lap) for approx a week. Need to travel between 23rd Sept and return before or on 8 Oct ex Melb or Syd. Only place I can see for those times is Singapore (170k) or NZ (108k) which may be an option. Only thing she wants is a spa and something to do for our toddler.

Figured I might see if there is a website that collates the info for me!

Thanks.

Awardnexus.com will search multiple alliances and over a date range. It's not free but worth checking out

Good suggestions above.

I'd also suggest you're leaving it a bit late. Those dates suggest school holidays to me, which is peak travel time so the usual leisure destinations you may be interested in would have had reward seats grabbed ages ago. I'm actually mildly surprised Singapore is available! :)

Yes, the QF site can be frustrating, so services like awardnexus can definitely assist... but just be aware that <2 months out looking at peak travel period you're likely not going to find a lot of options.

good luck!

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Expertflyer can search for few days at a time too, so that'd save you some time

You need to get in as early as possible - especially for premium seats or multiple seats (like 353 days ahead...).

Suggest you book quickly as when I had a quick look at SYD and MEL - SIN for interest, there is no availability for much of the time you want and where flights are available many are on Jetstar.

It is very late if you are wanting to go this year - and you are looking at the school holidays so that most of the holiday destinations (e.g. Fiji, New Caledonia) would have been booked ages ago.

Does that search include availability on OW eg CX? I thought it was purely QF inventory?

You can search expert flyer by alliance. For example following are the results for a search SYD to HKG with one world nominated as the alliance and look for availability under the fare classes noted above

Edit. That said on the above example maybe it is limited in what it will show with regards availability on other carriers

The OP was asking specifically about QF. If what you are asking is whether the fare bucket codes used for award seats varies between airlines or alliances, that is something someone more knowledgeable than me will need to answer.

I use award.flights

It's a google chrome extension that lets you search over a range of dates.

I did a bit more digging for my own information. Expert flyer will search the following One World members and their respective award classes

Air Berlin U and X

American Airlines. Z U T

British airways. Z U P X

Finnair. X

Iberia. U

Malaysia. P U X

Qantas. P U Z X

Royal Jordanian. U X

S7. U E

Sri Lankan. U X

Cathay pacific, Japan Airlines and Qatar are not noted as covered but I'm sure I've seen some results for Qatar
