I have used ExpressVPN in China for a few years. There has been a bit of cat and mouse with the CN cyber police recently but the have got around them each time. Works well. Cheapish. Good online chat and updates to work around the Chinese.

I got one from SimsDirect a couple of years ago for 6 weeks in Alaska/Yukon/California. Had one small glitch fixed in minutes by email. Good value and all not takes is just a little bit of management re data...like turning of pictures to cloud etc and disabling auto downloads if you tether...
