I had success regarding a chargeback on the Singapore accommodation with Amex, took 5 days with success. Unfortunately Singapore flights booked with a closed credit card, card churning. Outsmarted myself.

I have to agree there seems to be a problem with overcharging. Had a quick look last night at 2 x mel to syd rtn flights and quote came out at 114,000 pts, velocity cane out at 42,000 pts. Need to investigate futher. (:
