Syd - Per is 20 each way in Saver. Fares can be quite reasonable at the moment, particularly in happy hour. I've gotten some at under $300 return but generally $300 -$400.

You have 2 cards but it's effectively 1 account, ie you get 1 statement for combined cards. I don't think it makes a difference for the min spend. The idea is you use Amex where available (higher points earn) and visa as the back up.

Anybody get their bonus points yet? I have my cards a couple of months and have well surpassed the spend requirements. If don't they come with the next statement, I think I'll go chasing them.

Just cancelled mine due to the reduced earn rate. Annual fee was due next month. They really drag out the closing process. After 20 minutes i started losing patience with them.

My 110k came through 4th Nov and I was approved late Sept. Got my PER-SYD flight on 31 Dec in Bus for 33k (+$17). Flights were getting procey for 30/31st so happy enough. Can't remember whose referral I used but hope you got your 20k.
