I always take something....but more often than not the shampoo/conditioner is shyte so I avoid. I love the little travel toothbrush packs though / shower caps etc. So many hotels have downgrades their amenity kits though to save costs. :(

Honestly, I don't think the train is THAT expensive....though I take your point. Compared to taking a cab, the train is still much cheaper. And pretty much on par with the Melbourne Sky Bus which is CBD-Airport.

I went on Tuesday. It was actually my first time EVER attending and I was surprised how much I loved it. We saw 3 games....including Djokovic and Stosur. Really amazing to see the pros up close. Atmosphere so different to the TV and the psychological element of the game is right in front of you...

They are one of the resources I consult pre-trip....but I don't love them like some do. Unless it's an online version, it's too bulky to carry around so it stays behind. Also a lot of the time the info is already out of date - even if you get the most recent version....it's just not dynamic...

It is worth it for the Visa though....

I seriously don't think ANZ Black Rewards is worth it for frequent flyer points. Much better alternatives available. However, if you like DJs vouchers...they are very easy to earn!

Re: Qantas extends meal times Hmmmm will be interesting to see how this plays out in practice. Personally, I hate meal times on planes when travelling economy due to the aisles being clogged etc. I'd prefer it if they just had a substantial snack option available that could be requested any time.

I think it's going to hit 70 cents by year end. I'm buying whatever I can at 80 cents, then quitting all my US $ shopping and ending my US mailbox subscription....plus lately I've had so many online shopping issues I'm over it.
