ALL QF's 330's to get lay flat Business seating - Including Domestic

Why do you think Qantas doesn't use these planes on DOM routes and use the refurbished ones on their international flights?

ALL QF's 330's to get lay flat Business seating - Including Domestic

I have sorted my issue. Changed my flight to SYD to an EK flight with Qantas Flight # It leaves BKK later than I would have preferred, but it'a an A380 in First for only $6000 more for both of us. I won't make this mistake again.

ALL QF's 330's to get lay flat Business seating - Including Domestic

I do not hate Qantas.... I'm just not a fan. I generally don't usually fly with them internationally. This 2 day trip to Sydney is not optional and I wanted a full day in Bangkok on the 4th, therefore I had limited options. I am chasing 5000 BAEC Tier points before March, so the 140 this gives...

BA heading (further) down the LCC path

Not really an issue for me, but it seems a bit too much of a penny pinch really. It's a double whammy for those in economy, not only are they wedged in to tiny seats, they now have to stump up for in between meal snacks. God I'd hate to travel like that.

ALL QF's 330's to get lay flat Business seating - Including Domestic

Seat map shows 2x2x2 I'm not happy to do an overnight flight with such a rubbish seat. Looks like I will have to pay a change fee and go on a different flight. I really dislike Qantas, and paying for a premium airline and getting an angle seat on an overnight flight is beyond a first world...

ALL QF's 330's to get lay flat Business seating - Including Domestic

I'm on QF24 BKK-SYD on 4th January in J. Is this plane a non refurbished A330? I will be pretty disappointed to have basic seats on an overnight flight, especially as I only have 2 days in Sydney before returning to London.

Famous people seen (or even met) whilst flying or lounging

Saw Bob Geldof in the Concorde Room the other day. He was really nice and had a decent chat.

    The End of Cheap Status

Personally, I'd prefer status was harder to get. It's very annoying being in a First Class Lounge full of passengers travelling in economy class eating and drinking as much as they can before they board their aircraft and head to the back of the plane. Doing 11 domestic sectors in the USA to...

Change of Plane Means Downgrade from F to J

My next 3 trips to London will all be from BKK via HKG. This is not always going to be the case, as I often fly out of KUL or SIN. I booked with BA and I paid for First Class on all of them. The sectors from BKK-HKG I specifically chose the 777 flight with CX as it also has a First cabin. They...

BA heading (further) down the LCC path

Makes Club Europe even better value. I'm not likely to ever fly in economy,so it's not a big issue for me. The competition on the short haul European routes is intense. The only way BA can make money and fill seats is to have very low entry fares. (Lots of these flights can be under AUD$150...

Has anyone tried the A380 yet?

I think the original post was asking if people had tried the Airbus A380 Web site where it shows you where A380's fly, as opposed to have you flown in an A380. I may be wrong, but that's how I read it. See below from the Airbus website. "For more details on all A380 destinations, visit the...

    Free Savoy Hotel London

The code is usable by anyone. There are no conditions as such except the code must be entered at the time of booking. It didn't seem to have an expiry date. I booked a suite in November with no problems.

    Free Savoy Hotel London

Hello. I just wanted to share a promo code you can use for the Savoy London. It's a beautiful place to stay and I always find the service is wonderful. This code was sent to me as a New BMW owner in the UK, and offers a 20% discount. I'm in no way associated with the hotel and this is not a...

BA heading (further) down the LCC path

Ive now done a few flights in Club Europe. Personally, I think they're great value. I'd never fly economy with CE pricing so cheap. I don't have any expectation that I'm going to have a luxury experience, but in fairness, nor am I paying for it. I think CE is great if you look at it as...

    NOT on the bucket list

I would never fly them. The cabin looks tired and as for the food, I had better at the school tuck shop.

    BA advertising

Just watched this and I think I caught a little someting in my eye too Princess Fiona. It is quite smoggy here in Bangkok at the moment though. That must be it. ;)

BA heading (further) down the LCC path

Seems like a no brainer really. 2-4-2 seems like economy to me. I'd be devastated on a long haul flight if I did not have direct aisle access in a premium cabin. I'm flying in F from KUL-LHR in a BA 787 later this month and I have heard that cabin is quite nice. Returning to Hong Kong with BA...
