Thai always referred to the 777-300ER as 773 not 77W.

AA Award booking on Etihad - agent can't see available seats?

exactly as I expected, that's what happens quite often, they may eventually get it ticketed, but you may have to call back

AA Award booking on Etihad - agent can't see available seats?

they dont usually email when you have seats on hold, only really once the ticket is issued, but if the PNRs pull up on AA & EY's website, (EY can be pulled up on virtuallythere.com) then you're good. One thing to bare in mind is that when they told you the time limit, it is likely in Australian...

Minimising fees and charges on SQ flights - sweet spot routes

I don't believe it always works like that, no examples come to mind atm, but IIRC there are instances where mileage programs will charge YQ even if the operating carrier themselves don't.

Minimising fees and charges on SQ flights - sweet spot routes

Looks like SQ isn't charging YQ on VA, not surprising

AA Award booking on Etihad - agent can't see available seats?

IME when an Australian agent issues a ticket with a US based aadavantage account, problems arise about form of payment in point of sale, therefore I recommend having Australian agent hold seats, then call us desk to issue ticket

Minimising fees and charges on SQ flights - sweet spot routes

Besides 5th freedom routes, all SQ flights will go to from or through their hub, Singapore. SQ charges fuel surcharges (YQ) on almost all redemption, (notable exceptions include United) so while there are a few Star Alliance airlines that fly between Australia and Europe, SQ will still charge YQ...

    AA to fly LAX-HKG.

i guess the one sweet side of it is that since AA got rid of stopovers, now that this would be 2 awards anyway, you effectively get a free stopover!

    Thai A350

any idea what the C seat will be? IMO the 787 is a downgrade from the 773/380 seat, so I'm hoping they don't go with the 787.

    SIN-SFO non-stop for United

at least it's a new ac unlike the 747 they used to fly to AU (it's been a while since I flew that route in Y, so it was still on the 747) I found it funny how UA advertised this as the worlds longest route, there were a few "longest routes" announced recently, but i think EK's DXB-AKL is the...

    Thai A350

Does anyone know any info regarding Thai's A350 and their proposed routes? While searching (on KVS with AC search) for MEL-BKK on TG in late October, the aircraft showed up as 359 instead of 777 or 773 like it usually does. All other sources indicate that it's still the 777.
