Signed up for this one but just got the declined letter... bit bummed! Spoke to a consultant last week about organising payslips etc and she seemed quite positive it would go through. Going to give them a call tomorrow and see what's happened...

American Express Qantas Ultimate Card - 100,000 Bonus Qantas Points

Also jumped on this deal and approved within 5 minutes as well. I thought it would've asked me for more evidence, but I've previously been an Amex customer (years ago), so I guess it was all good! Looking forward to getting these points loaded up to the account, got my spend already picked out...

Jetstar Platinum MasterCard 40k points $69 first year annual fee

Yep, got that letter this week as well. I had already closed my account though because Macquarie (who underwrites Jetstar's cars anyway) offered $99 annual fee for slightly better conditions, which was good before but a no brainer now!

Citibank 70,000 QFF points $149 annual fee first year 0% BT for 6 months

Not in the letter, I didn't think they had to supply you with a reason. Should I give them a quick call to find out?

Citibank 70,000 QFF points $149 annual fee first year 0% BT for 6 months

Filled in the app and had a call the next day asking for more information about my pay. Supplied and "in review" for a few days. Got my letter today - declined.

CommBank CC "I'm going to cancel" thread

Called up to cancel platinum card. Operator said that fee would be waived with a change of product. Couldn't get me the diamond offer, so converted my account to gold and gave me bonus 5k points. Will see how it stacks up, but at fee free for another year, will likely retain it.

Re: 40,000 Reward Points on Westpac Altitude Platinum Credit Card ($150 Fee / $0 if C Confirmed - had this problem but after a few minutes on the phone to the rewards team it was fixed. New statement just came though and all existing (missing) points showed up in my QFF account.

40,000 Reward Points on Westpac Altitude Platinum Credit Card ($150 Fee / $0 if Cust)

Re: 40,000 Reward Points on Westpac Altitude Platinum Credit Card ($150 Fee / $0 if C This is correct. The deal isn't actually new. Applied last month for the deposit account which took minutes. Then applied for the CC the next day. Approved and cards sent within the week, very easy. Total...

Amex Platinum Business Card: Bonus 150000 Membership Rewards Points ($1500 fee pa)

Re: Amex Platinum Business Card: Bonus 150000 Membership Rewards Points ($1500 fee pa Is it worth pursing in your opinion? $1500 for 150k points? The earn rate doesn't seem terribly high at 1:1 considering what you pay.

"A change to your Commonwealth Awards Qantas Points conversion rate"

Yep, just got my letter. Changes effective in May. Lucky that's when I was going to cancel, and this all but confirms it now!

Westpac Altitude Platinum Card now with 40K QFF or Altitude Points

Was just looking at this. Very tempting, almost worth going in and making an account just to get this. Then I read this : "For each statement cycle a points cap of 3,750 Qantas Points applies when using either or both cards. Bonus points do not count towards the points cap." Bummer!

Jetstar Platinum MasterCard 40k points $69 first year annual fee

Met the criteria a few weeks ago and points were instantly credited (outside of the usual statement points). Very happy camper with this one! Now to look for new cards and more points. ;) There is.

Commonwealth Platinum Awards - 40k Qantas Points. $10 fee.

After 6 months no points/credit arrived. Second call to CB, this time the rep said it should have been done within 90 days of meeting the conditions, and he can't see why it wasn't (confirmed I met the conditions) He is escalating to another team, but said it may take 5 days to get back to me...

Jetstar Platinum MasterCard 40k points $69 first year annual fee

I also had the same problems - both card and internet access code arrived at the same time (nice...) Couldn't login online. Phoned to activate, took 10(!) minutes then done. Had to call again and get the online code reset. Also reset my pin while I was there. Did a paywave successfully today, so...

That's just silly, never heard of that one in my life. Someone's trying to have a lend of you. No pun intended.

Jetstar Platinum MasterCard 40k points $69 first year annual fee

So I rang them today and the consultant asked for an application ID, I said I'd had no communication at all. He was good, got me my application ID, said it was in process and asked me to email a payslip, which I've just done. Hopefully we're on track. I need to know soon as I've got a CC to...
