Double points transfer offer - anyone seen the points?

What qualifies from credits cards is unclear. I read it that transfers from rewards programs don't count, but Qantas direct credit card transfers do. The wording was unclear.

Double points transfer offer - anyone seen the points?

Thanks. Yeah that's the one. I've found that often 'within' means sooner for Qantas. Given the ambiguity of what exactly qualifies when it comes to cards, I was just trying to work out if anyone had the points yet so I could be certain. Nomrally I wouldn't care so much. but I am trying to...

    Should I bother with SPG?

Okay, doesn't seem to be a lot of SPG fans here. I think this was an interesting summation of my post. http://frequentpoints.com/spg-hotels-rewards-program-guide.html

Double points transfer offer - anyone seen the points?

A little while ago, Qantas offered to double points from various sources (some credit cards etc). It was a bit unclear as to exactly what qualified. I registered and have the NAB Qantas card. It has been two statement cycles and no sign of the double bonus yet? Has anyone else seen it with NAB?

    Help with upgrades

I've seen glitches in the system like this. You have two ticket types: one can be upgraded, the other can't. As per normal rules, most restrictive applies. However, I think the Krisflyer system sees a sector with the upgradeable ticket and teases you with the upgrade offer for that sector, even...

25% off reward tickets (Y only)

For QF domestic, it often works out better value on a lot of flights to fly Virgin. Virgin flights have fewer taxes on redemptions and I've noticed they have really cut their prices of late. I was looking at $99 SYD-MEL on VA. Qantas was 6,000+$35 ($130 paid ticket). I prefer Qantas of course...

Is International Virgin Reward availability now worse that QANTAS?

Re: Velocity internat J redemptions now totally scarce! I've noticed virgin availability to the Us has dropped off significantly. It's a shame since I think their business class is the best direct option to the US. Qantas is feeling a bit tired. Singapore is great if you don't mind the much...

Has anyone stayed at any of these London, Amsterdam and Frankfurt Hiltons?

I've stayed at Islington. It's one of my favourite hotels in London. The hotel itself was renovated in 2013-14. There are some dogs rooms and it's not luxury, but for the price I always found it reasonable (although it can bounce around a lot). The two things I like the most are: the Islington...

Qantas Business Class meals & menus

I am not so sure about the lounge food. Sometimes I find it pretty uninspiring in itself, particularly on domestic flights. If you want something apart from a ham/cheese /salad with bread, there are no that many options. Sometime the single hot dish is a bit bland too.

Qantas Business Class meals & menus

I agree. The bread has a weird texture. Even on the international breakfasts in J, the toast by itself is still chewy. Either that or it is super dry throughout. I'd rather just warmed bread.

    Should I bother with SPG?

Hey everyone I've been a bit of lurker for years. I also read PointHacks a lot and they seem to be great fans of SPG. I don't stay at SPG properties much but will soon in Hawaii but I couldn't see why PointHacks thought it was good. I may have missed something. I can see some benefits in terms...

    Citi Select - ATO payments

Thanks. I've been a lurker for quite a while but most threads already have had the answers in them.

    Citi Select - ATO payments

Has anyone considered escalating this with the Financial ombudsman? The thing is that the term government charges is not the same as paying for a government service. A government charge might be something like stamp duty (which was removed with the GST). If I pay rates or fines with my card...
