Thanks again for all your comments and advice. Ultimately decided to cancel the separate HKG to Shanghai flight and asked Qantas to add that flight to my existing Qantas PNR. Hopefully that fixes things given both Qantas and Cathay Dragon are oneworld AND both flights are now on one PNR.

Thanks guys. Is it possible to visit the Cathay transfer desk in HKG and ask them to check the bags through to Shanghai by giving them the QFF bag tag numbers? In other words, do we have to go through immigration, physically pick up the bags and recheck them through?

I'll be flying Emirates from Dubai to Sydney in F next month (got lucky with the points redemption!). There is a short layover in BKK. Does anyone know whether you'll get a second amenity pack for the BKK to Sydney leg? I'd like to give that to my partner if that's the case :)

I can guest one into the HK F Lounge on 13 February 2016. Flying on QF128.

I've visited the Bridge before in HK, but not the Wing. I heard that the Pier first class lounge is newer and better? Do you think the Wing is worth visiting? I'm travelling from HK back to Sydney next month, so hope to drop by the lounge again then!

Thanks all for your helpful comments! I had the status issue sorted at the Airport Express drop off (showed them the screenshot on my phone), so getting into the lounge at the airport was no issue. The Pier is out of this world! :)
