Has anyone had any success requesting release of seats on JQ flights for award bookings?

For those that are interested - this is the response I got. Accompanied a few weeks later by a US$251 AA Travel Voucher. Definitely better then nothing seeing as it was partly a status run to begin with.

Others may correct me on this, but I believe the offers are targeted based on what you have selected on your Qantas FF profile under "Special Interest Offers" - have you filled that out? Alternatively as samh004 mentioned send them an email and see if anything is coming up.
