I've used this in Sydney, London, Tuscany and in America. When I travel for fun I like to get a proper feel for a city so I find that staying with locals is the easiest way to do this and it saves money as well. I've got four nights in Chelsea, London in April for $200aud.

I've used the FF Calculate iPhone app and it seems to track well and also has a decent calculator to work out overseas flights.
