Booked my flights today. Had been waiting for a sale, but price has been fluctuating (upwards) a little too much for my liking! Early arrival around 09.35 at CDG, late departure at 21.40

Heathrow is a complete mess at the moment - although it is improving. But to improve, they've capped departures at 100,000 per day (no limit on arrivals) and basically told airlines to no longer offer flights ex LHR for sale. BA have also cancelled numerous flights to help keep under their caps...

I'll try and attend the next one. Had this in my calendar to reserve the dates, but the stars did not align - especially airfare wise.

Yes I remember my letter fondly... Not! Still, it has come in very handy to get additional baggage when in Australia and flying Qantas. My BA OWE doesn't get the same allowances as my QF OWS (gold). Go figure!

Two BA16's are leaving Sydney today and doing the transitless stop in SIN. Both are rammed full of passengers. I assume BA16 tomorrow will be fine. Tell your guests to eat before the airport as there is little food after security. Also few shops open. Some more eating options are open...

Unless you're there for a special occasion, The Alilaguna is efficient and a good way to head from Airport to your hotel. You can buy returns cheaper than one way, and online is also cheaper again. Agree with others re the Vappareto tickets, it really is a great way to travel around. The 2-day...

BA can be easier to earn status on than Qantas, but it depends on your flying patterns. The four segment rule has had odd application over the last years, so no idea if they currently apply it. Above gold with BA for an Australian flyer isn't really worth it unless visiting UK frequently...

I've used it before as BA Silver and Gold, but not as OWE. I think it will be fine, but if they have issues with it, there is a left baggage place at arrivals downstairs.

Just landed back into Heathrow. Was a lovely weekend so thanks to all involved. Very interesting experience re qf36. I thought I was last to leave SIN until I heard the news! Shame you were kept onboard so long otherwise could have met for one final drink.

Popped in quickly. Lounge is fine and probably better than the sats one but nothing exceptional!
