So, shall i clarify... do you know of any programs that give status for mearly earning points through credit cards etc?

I am not worried about the $50 joining fee, but am wondering if the accumulation of points alone in Asia Miles, gets any status credit? I can get plenty of credit card points, so would normally fly using the points, but with qantas, this gets you no SC anymore. If not Asia Miles, does anyone...

Can i ask a really dumb question... Do you have to fly to get status with Asia miles, and is this connected to Marco polo? I am a gold QFF who is deserting the sinking ship, and looking for a way to get status with another carrier. Currently i can transfer my rewards points to Emirates, etihad...

thats true.. but the points have been accruing in some cases for years. Qantas has these points (cash) to do with as they see fit, until the QFF decides to cash them in. This in effect, is an interest free loan to Qantas, or a prepaid flight if you prefer.

I would like to see SC offered for award flights, as QFF has received cash for these points, and therefor the award flights are all prepaid, sometimes years in advance. Instead using points is seen as the less fortunate way of travelling. I feel like i am looked down upon, by some staff, when...

I am dissillusioned with QFF, as i believe they do not appreciate our points anymore. I would like to start having my cc points redirected to AA, but cannot find a card that i can apply as an Australian. Can anyone direct me to how this could be possible please? jesse

No that phone booking is no longer allowed for ASA's, how can i get status credits using my points? I tried online and my usual 72k points business class bne to mel return is now over 216k! Any tips? Do i have to fly to America?
