No it wont affect where you are seated or anything but extra information like this is always very helpful to the crew if they do need to offer you assistance with your daughter especially since you are doing a long trip. I highly recommend you let reservations know or if not speak to the Manager...

Thanks for the welcome , on any long haul QF flights one of the many responsibilities of a CSS is to welcome all customers seated in Premium Economy and if your One World status is Emerald and if you are seated in Economy you can expect the CSS to come around and say hi and welcome you on board...
