    Velocity/Virgin websites are RUBBISH

I had the same issue, it was showing my status and balance from 1 September - a quick call yesterday and they manually synched my account so I'm now showing as Platinum and was able to select row 3 for my existing bookings. They did the first booking for me, the rest I was able to do myself...

Best PE seating on 777 [& other advice]

Re: VA B777 Premium Economy Opinions Funnily enough VA seems to reserve row 10 for Plats though. I'm currently in 12, it appears to be less than half full atm.

    HotelClub to leave Velocity

I had a stay on Saturday night (booked Friday) and the points (base and bonus) posted yesterday - faster than the VA points and SC for the same day, which are yet to post.

Is Al Reem lounge with the effort (Flying to London VA/EY)

Thanks everyone (especially for rubbing in how amazing the EY First Class lounge is, that I won't have access to until *after* I get back to Oz :p) Really not looking forward to the final leg in EY economy (after PE for the VA leg), so it's probably worth it just to stretch the legs and...

Is Al Reem lounge with the effort (Flying to London VA/EY)

Hi - we're flying to LHR at the end of the month with VA/EY - unfortunately won't hit Platinum until the flights home. Is it worth the trek between terminals to get to the Al Reem loungeat AUH? All going well, we'll have 2 3/4 between flights. Thanks!

When a Window seat does not have Window

This has got me into trouble with the other half (who loves the window seat) several times!

enquiry about flying MEL-SYD and transferring to International flight

I'm doing pretty much the same thing with the same flight times, but it's a single booking, so does it work the same way? And if it includes an Etihad leg AUH-LHR?

Gold Velocity FF wondering best VA airline partner to travel to London with.

Wish I'd known about that about 4 weeks ago! Oh well - next time.

Book on VA website or Etihad

Bugger. Oh well, at least it's only the short(er) 7 hour flight in economy. I'm ticketed with VA, so I won't get the upgrade auction email. Does anyone know if the airport upgrades are possible if you haven't booked via Etihad? I'm assuming not?

Book on VA website or Etihad

Yeah that's what I thought, but the seat maps on the Etihad site definitely have 3-4-3. Funnily enough, I was originally going to book to CDG, but decided on London instead. And of course now Etihad has opened its new lounge at CDG. Oh well - post purchase dissonance!

Book on VA website or Etihad

I ended up booking at the Travel Expo in Melbourne on the weekend for roughly the same price as Zuji had (maybe a little cheaper). The next day I got a reply from my enquiry to Virgin saying the reason there were no Premium Saver fares is that they had sold out. Oh well - I paid roughly $4,000...

Zuji booking "Not valid for earn"

Annoying, as Zuji seems the only way to book a Premium Saver fare to London atm, but it seems to be more drama than it's worth. I sent an enquiry via the website asking if Premium Saver fares would be available at some point (you can book them as far as Abu Dhabi, but only Premium is available...

Zuji booking "Not valid for earn"

So they're saying that any flights booked through a travel agent aren't eligible for status credits?
  17. C

Book on VA website or Etihad

Yes - probably should have made that clear! Can book the same flights either with Etihad or VA through Zuji, but the Etihad version is cheaper. Either way, one of the flights is a code share. And both are significantly (thousands) cheaper than booking directly via VA website as it stands.

Book on VA website or Etihad

So if I was to book PE to LHR on Etihad via Zuji, are there any traps to look for? It doesn't seem to allow you to select VA/velocity as preferred Frequent Flyer program. It seems to be the only way to book a Premium Saver fare ATM. I wouldn't get as many bonus points for Being Gold (50% instead...

    Virgin Flyer 2-For-1

Does it depend on which T&C you look at? This is what I see: That definitely says 'flights', not 'fares'. The only thing it says is not covered is credit card fees, and checked baggage if applicable.

Premium Economy to Europe: Virgin Australia or Atlantic? Or something else?

So there's now a 'Premium Saver' column for flights to London, but no fares available... I guess that's progress!
