That is what I understand, but he said that Flexible Y showed different SC for different flight times...which still seems wrong. If it is shown in his booking confirmation, can Qantas still say it was a mistake and refuse to award the points?

SC - I understand the difference, that is why I was surprised. He suggested that an economy flight to Hamilton Island, normally 30SC, was instead going to earn him 50SC because of the time of the flight...just seemed wrong...?

It is my understanding that FF status points are fixed - for example, the number of points for a SYD-MEL trip in a certain class are fixed, no matter what time of day, as long as the destination and cabin code doesn't change. So, SYD-MEL discount economy would be x points, no matter what time...

Re: Best Status Run Options - A quick overview! Sure, but DSC of 240 isn't 360 - and the costs are also wildly different. I can't get SYD-SIN-SYD for$734 using 180,000 points and I only earn 240SC according to QF. So, why do others see such cheap flights with so many SC?
