    Window Shades UP or DOWN?

I understand. Again, it seems straightforward to me. When travelling, you know in advance the hours you will be flying and you can come prepared if you want a dimmer plane and you will be flying in daylight. Those who want light have no options. I think shades down is being pushed by airlines...

    Window Shades UP or DOWN?

I agree that there is no perfect fits everyone solution (at the moment) and I agree that direct sunshine may be an issue that can be dealt with by half lowering a shade. I prefer not to wear a sleep mask as well, but they are an option. Those who insist on shades down allow no options for...

    Window Shades UP or DOWN?

Shades down is rude and inconsiderate of others. Those who want dimmer light have alternatives. They can wear masks if they want to sleep. They can take their own IFE on tablets. This is usually a good idea anyway as you get the programs you want and it is much more reliable than IFE which is...

    Window Shades UP or DOWN?

Up, every time. [ I just loathe flying when I can't see out. Watching the world or even the ocean is one of the great joys of flying. Dawns and sunsets and clouds are just superb. Those who want to snooze can wear masks if shutters are open. If the blinds are closed, there is no alternative for...

No, I have only tried through the contact info provided on their site. I have received no answer.

Gift Cards. I don't get how to get best value from them.

OK, I can buy a gift card for, say, Bunnings, from a supermarket and use an Amex card to buy it and so get Amex points. How am I better off than just using my Amex card to buy directly at Bunnings? (I am a Qantas FF member)

Beware of travel search engines. Apparent fraud.

I have received no response from Travelgenio at all. I therefore conclude that the company is indeed fraudulent and everyone should avoid using them.

Beware of travel search engines. Apparent fraud.

I think this is quite possible. I made the booking directly with Qatar about 30 minutes after my original search. The tab may still have been open. After my initial search, I clicked on the "More information" button for the flight I was interested in to see if there were further charges. Apart...

Beware of travel search engines. Apparent fraud.

That's possible. I made and paid for the booking with Qatar air on their site about 30 minutes after my original search. I have received booking confirmation from Qatar and my bank shows that this was paid for. The Qatar payment is for a quite different amount from that debited by Travelgenio. I...

Beware of travel search engines. Apparent fraud.

Hi Mel. I agree. I immediately contacted my bank (CBA). My card is cancelled and they are looking into it. I have done further searches on Travelgenio and have found complaint after complaint with many people saying the site is a swindle.

Beware of travel search engines. Apparent fraud.

Further developments. I have found that Travelgenio is a flight search site. I must have got there via one of the search engines I had used. Travelgenio has an email response address I have emailed them asking for clarification as to why and how my account was debited. I will post any response...

Beware of travel search engines. Apparent fraud.

I can't quite tell. I was searching for flights and hit a few of the "find cheap flights" type sites. Each of these started multiple search engines to give flights. They didn't use the word "Travelgenio" as far as I remember. I only came across the word "Travelgenio" when I tried to find the...

Beware of travel search engines. Apparent fraud.

Search engines for flights associated with Travelgenio. I have just had what appears to be a fraudulent debit from this company. I came after I had checked, but not booked flights. I immediately contacted my bank and stopped the payment. Googling for the company name I found that a lot of other...

Flyora . What is it telling us?

Thanks Princess. But just what is it telling me? I put in the name of the airline, the class and route and then it pops up info from different airlines in either miles or points. Just what is that telling me? The number of points or miles I would need to buy/exchange for that flight with...
