Gold Charge Card and Qantas Premium Card.

So after taking up the offer from Amex in May, I found out today that I was not entitled to the bonus points, even though a sales rep advised that I was. The best they could offer was 10k worth of points as a 'sorry' payment. I have been with Amex for 8 years and I think I'm about to walk away...

Amex confirmed to me this morning that existing Amex customers are also able to claim the 80000 points offer - I made an enquiry to upgrade from the Gold Charge Card to the Platinum Charge Card.

I have a QF Amex Premium card and a corporate amex which also directs points to QF. I'm about to give up the corp card as I'm moving to another firm and with this recent news I'm on the lookout for another QF card... Any suggestions?

I don't know, probably a commitment that it won't happen again or that they have forwarded the complaint to the strategy team... But it is Qantas, so probably should be thankful that I was at least given a phone call..

Receiveda voice mail yesterday, apologising for the pie and that my complaint will bepassed on to the catering team. Not really what I was after, seems like a bitof a cop out.

Was offered a Pie last week on a 6pm flight to BNE from MEL. Not impressed. I have sent a complaint to Qantas so hopefully will get a reply.

Has anyone actually got this to work with Qantas? I'm not sure this app supports Qantas, as I was not able to use it last Saturday.

Correct - but not for BNE... aside from the usual QF delay, we would take off as normal, than join the holding pattern... pilots would even advise us before take-off that we would likely join the circle for some time. VA is the same. Such a waste of fuel!

This is a dam pain.. Every Friday night for the last few weeks I have spent between 20 and 40 mins going around in bloody circles... MEL-BNE is now a full 3 hour flight. I just can't understand how BNE management failed this so badly. Surely someone's head must roll for this.. Must be costing...

So why would Qantas offer me double status credits when I'm only 85 sc's off retaining platinum for another year with 4 months to go in my year. This certainly does not entice me to strive for 2400sc's....

Re: A Platinum Flight for $1400 Yeah it's not great, but if your honest they let you out in 2 minutes. They x-ray your bags and ask you a few questions. You will only get held up if your hostile or actually doing something illegal.
