Qantas slashing jobs and possibly selling FF program?

He looks like he wears one to bed, they are horrible and Ryanair cheap. Just like the truffle popcorn.

Qantas slashing jobs and possibly selling FF program?

Alan Joyce spat in BA's collective face, in no small measure due to his probable culturally-ingrained hatred of the English.

Qantas slashing jobs and possibly selling FF program?

Re: Qantas to cut 1,000 Jobs. I disagree that Alan Joyce is not stupid. I don't know whether it's his thick accent or his thick features but he looks like a dunce to me, and having the airline's shares downgraded to junk hardly seems a stellar endorsement of his business acumen. Get lost back...

    717 on CBR flights

Not real QANTAS flights, run by Cobham Aviation. Enjoy the tail strikes and crash landings as you munch on your SnakPak!!

    What a ... [reclining dispute]

Your wife sounds like a mean person; unless she is 6'5" is there any particular need? I wouldn't have enjoyed her sitting in front of me if I had the misfortune of being crammed into a Y seat. Nice to know you revel in the discomforture of others though.

"Island Dining" in the Domestic J lounges: Tips, Timing & Menus

They've achieved their objective as I no longer bother going in. You can't even get a bit of cheese and a couple of crackers. Great place to chill if you like party pies, popcorn and Smith's Crisps. Mmmmmmm! Wait til they introduce the snack bags on the CBR flights and do away with the trays...

    Involuntary seat change

I once met a p1 ex Sydney who, finding her usual row 4 seat had been taken at the last minute (by a knob in 4D) just waited til last, strolled on and sat right between us in the middle. I thought this was a pretty neat trick. Next time it happens to you, go sit in the CL guy's shadow seat and...

    Involuntary seat change

I was once moved at the gate by a surly person who said to the FA 'this is one of the ones who has to be moved', and was ejected from 4A into 29A. The reason proferred was load management, which I was quite happy with (although not the attitude of GC) but when I boarded, 4A and 4C were taken...

I choose not to fly via Dubai. OK, but why ???

Refusing entry to residents of Vatican City would have nothing to do with Catholics, I suppose? Im QF Platinum and a weekly flyer and I enjoy my regular jaunts to the gay bars of England, but not via a third world caliphate.

I choose not to fly via Dubai. OK, but why ???

Just part of the prevailing attitude towards women across almost the entire Middle East, which is archaic and repellent, isn't it? I love how so many Australians are such moral equivocators. PC to a fault, but as soon as there is any suggestion that a 'foreign' culture is sub-optimal or has...

    has QF5/6 gone?

Shame! I was hoping to be on the last one. It's a dog airline what won't use jumbo jets all the way to London, anyway, QF5 was its saving grace.

    has QF5/6 gone?

Is QF5/6 still running? I am trying to book SYD-FRA on that route but can't call up anything on the site that isn't [via the UAE] <redacted>. I thought QF5/6 was being extended until October?

I choose not to fly via Dubai. OK, but why ???

I heard the religious police were being trained to identify Jews by their supposed 'physical characteristics'

I choose not to fly via Dubai. OK, but why ???

someone let me know when Jews are allowed into the UAE. I don't intend to transit through a country where I am prevented from leaving the international airport. Anyone think that is unreasonable? Anti semites to the fore of the queue.

I choose not to fly via Dubai. OK, but why ???

the UAE is a cesspit of anti-Semitism. Oh, except for the sexy airport.

flying with BA SYD-SIN-LHR; status credits and points?

Oh dear, that is a bit sad, I usually go 2x a year to London... As I don't make WP1 but easily qualify for Platinum twice, maybe I should switch to AVIOS for those international flights after that time. I don't have any intention of going to London via Dubai for nostalgic reasons. I was...
