QF.com quotes the sale as ending on the 12 of Nov If I remember correctly (and please correct me if I am wrong), expedia.com.br will quote the sale rate until 2359 Nov 12 on the Brazilian timezone so you effectively get almost an extra day on the QF date.

Book flight + hotel, but only book one night in the cheapest hotel. It becomes cheaper overall to book one night at a hotel, but you don't need to show up and stay at the hotel. -edit- whoops, didn't realise this was already answered :)

FYI Singapore sale on - SYD-SIN for 749 on qf.com; 1039 BRL which is roughly a bit more than $500 depending on how bad the FX rate is... Dates I used was 2nd Nov returning 4th. edit - 948 BRL if you use the accomodation trick too.

FYI Prices went up to standard post-sale prices, but appear to have dropped again (at least on my dates in early august) to $570 for those that need to urgently book. Obviously not as great as $375, but still reasonably cheaper than other fare sites.
