Seems our flight booked HND-PEK (NH1255) has been changed from an ancient 767 to a shiny new 787. Anyone have any tips for seating in J on this flight for a couple travelling with a 9 month old.

I can't remember getting loop based IFE in SQ ex PER. Y has always had the annoying AVOD box taking up foot space under aisle seats. J has been improved with the new regional seats and 2-2-2 layout, but still not lie flat.

If by the new entertainment system you mean ipod connectivity etc, the 777-200's ex PER don't have this but they do have on demand. The 330's do but I think when the 4 x daily service kicks in next month PER will be serviced by all 777-200's.

It seems this deal removes Qantas as a viable option to Europe for those who have status with a OW partner other than QF and want to make use of that status. Couple that with my dislike of DXB airport at the best of times and this arrangement is a backward step in my opinion.
