Thanks for the comments everyone. Seems definitely that my speculation is unfounded. It could have been just me I agree that the OW alliance means a lot to Cathay as they get traffic from JAL, BA and AA. Most of their flights to/from main land are JAL and AA codeshared. Cheers

Just some random observation. CA is known to look after OW members, specially OWE. It has always been a delight flying with them. In the past few months, I have noticed that they have stopped on board greeting of OWE flyers, as in the past and also they didn't mention anything about One World...

This is my third year as P1 and most likely will requalify this year too.. and I can say that on balance my experience has been underwhelming too.. There has been occasions of 'above and beyond' but often the on board treatment is worse than WP, as crew somehow keep missing the 'O' in the end...
