I hope you are right. I also have recieved significant points transfers with little communication with AMEX. Yet I am still due to recieve about 150,000 and I was told I would get them by end of Jan. Must admit, I doubt they will credit without a phone call to them. Personally I don't blame them...

The reason why so many people including me have recieved points labelled "NOV" and "DEC," but are still way short of the total points they are meant to recieve is called damage control. The people who complain will recieve their remaining points. The people who don't, won't! ;)

So if you book an economy fare and request an upgrade to business class it is free or cheaper than booking a business class flight in the first place?

Thnaks for your response and everybody elses. It seems general consensis is that upgrades and long haul flights are good value. What do you mean by 'status' when refferring to upgrading to business class?

What do you use your points on to get this value?? I can see the best value is flights at about $10 per 1000tx. Can anyone tell me what is the best value please? Do you think it would be beneficial to open a QFF account and transfer the points to that or just use the amex website to book...

IMO, if the transaction was made inside a month then it will count towards that month no matter when it turns up online.
